The Role
You'll build 8club's people function from scratch — owning the full talent lifecycle from job description to onboarding, and creating the cultural foundations that make 8club a place where exceptional people do their best work.

8club is about to double and then triple in headcount. There is no one managing this process right now. You change that, and you ensure every hire makes the team better — not just bigger.
What You'll Do
Own end-to-end recruitment for all open roles — sourcing, screening, scheduling, and closing
Partner with founders and team leads to write JDs that attract the right people for each role
Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical future hires
Design and run the onboarding experience so every new hire hits the ground running
Establish people-first systems: performance reviews, feedback cadences, and culture rituals
Manage HR administration: offer letters, contracts, payroll coordination, and compliance
Track hiring metrics and report on pipeline health, time-to-close, and offer acceptance rates
What We're Looking For
3–5 years of HR and talent acquisition experience, ideally at a startup
You've hired across functions — tech, product, design, marketing, and business
Strong interpersonal skills — candidates and hiring managers both like working with you
Analytical enough to manage a hiring funnel as a data problem
Understanding of Indian employment law, HR compliance, and payroll basics
Bonus Points
Prior experience building HR from zero at a startup
Familiarity with modern ATS platforms (Ashby, Lever, or Greenhouse)
Network of strong candidates in tech, product, and design communities in India
AI & Tools We Use
Ashby or similar ATS for pipeline management
Claude / ChatGPT for JD writing and candidate communications
Metaview for AI-powered interview notes
Notion for onboarding documentation
