The Role
You will build, scale, and maintain 8club's core ecosystem end-to-end, bridging backend domain logic with our mobile and web application frontends. You'll own product features from API schema design and database migrations down to sleek UI execution, state management, and real-time client interactions.

What You'll Do
Design, implement, and ship complete features end-to-end across both frontend and backend
Build and optimise high-throughput REST APIs, design database schemas/migrations, and write clean, async server logic using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and Redis
Craft pixel-perfect, responsive mobile UI in Flutter using reactive state management declarative routing, and clean domain/repository separations alongside our Next.js web app
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests across backend endpoints and frontend logic controllers; participate in rigorous code reviews and foster engineering excellence
Profile and optimise backend database queries (SQL / Tortoise ORM), caching strategies, and frontend render lifecycles / state synchronization
Debug production issues swiftly across API layers, Sentry trace logs, network calls, and client state
Participate in architectural discussions, contribute to technical standards (domain boundaries, atomic DB transactions, post-commit hooks), and document system workflows for the team
What We're Looking For
4+ years of professional fullstack software engineering experience building and maintaining production systems at scale
Deep hands-on experience with Python (FastAPI, Asyncio, Pydantic, ORMs like Tortoise/SQLAlchemy) and relational databases (PostgreSQL query optimisation, schema migrations via Aerich/Alembic)
Hands-on experience developing cross-platform apps or web frontends using Flutter / Dart (or strong experience in React/Next.js with readiness to excel in Flutter), including state management patterns (Riverpod/Redux/Bloc) and clean architecture
Good command over PostgreSQL indexing, transactions, and Redis caching models
Mastery of RESTful API principles, JSON data modeling, network error handling (Dio/HTTP interceptors), and client storage solutions
A product mindset; you take full responsibility for what you build, from requirement parsing down to telemetry, fallback handling, and edge cases
Strong written documentation skills and a collaborative mindset suited for fast-paced, async-first engineering environments
Bonus Points
Experience with consumer-facing mobile products scaling to hundreds of thousands of active users
Active contributions to open-source software (Python/FastAPI or Dart/Flutter/React/Next.js ecosystem)
Direct experience with cloud infrastructure & DevOps tools (AWS, GCP, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Sentry monitoring)
Familiarity with dynamic UI component architectures and embedded webviews
