The Role
You'll be the first dedicated data person at 8club — building the analytics foundation from scratch and turning user behaviour into actionable insights that drive product, marketing, and growth decisions.

Right now, every decision at 8club is made on intuition. You change that. You build the dashboards, define the metrics, and surface the insights that tell us where to go next.
What You'll Do
Own the analytics stack — instrument events, set up data pipelines, and maintain the data warehouse
Build dashboards that give product, marketing, and leadership visibility into what's actually happening
Define and track core KPIs: activation, retention, engagement, event fill rates, and revenue
Run A/B test analysis and help teams make decisions from experiments
Proactively surface unexpected patterns, drop-offs, or growth opportunities in the data
Work cross-functionally — you're the data partner to product, marketing, and business teams
What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence
Strong SQL — you can write complex queries without looking things up
Experience with at least one analytics platform: Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar
Ability to build clear, decision-oriented dashboards (Metabase, Looker, or Tableau)
Comfort with working in ambiguous environments and defining your own priorities
You translate data into plain English — insights, not just numbers
Bonus Points
Experience setting up event instrumentation from scratch
Python or R for statistical analysis
Prior work at a consumer app or marketplace
AI & Tools We Use
Mixpanel / Amplitude for product analytics
dbt + BigQuery / Redshift for data warehouse
Metabase or Looker for dashboards
AI SQL assistants (Text-to-SQL, Claude for analysis)
